CT findings
of 35 patients with suspected aneurysms of thoracic aorta were
analysed by retrospective method. Out of 30 patients with pathologic
CT findings, 8 patients had aneurysms, 7 dissection, 7 arterosclelotic
dilatation and 2 congenital anomaly of thoracic aorta. Two patient
had aneurysm of subclavan artery, 3 malignant neoplasms, and one
patient a cyst. The authors conclude that CT is a useful method
in diagnostics of aneurysms of thoracic aorta and suggest it in
the sequence of radiological diagnostic methods, before invasive
methods.
