SOME ISLAMIC METHODS FOR PRESERVATION AND IMPROVEMENT OF PSYCHICAL HEALTH Sead SELJUBAC Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Muslim Secondary School of Behrambeg Tuzla, 75 000 Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina In order to preserve and improve ones psychical health, the human puts many efforts that sometimes result in good and sometimes in bad outcomes. This mostly depends on methods used during such practice. This paper presents only five out of a great number of methods offered by Islam, for the purpose of bringing one into psychical stability and balance and especially within the environment that leads to disturbance of such stability through its relation towards the world.
This paper will focus on the fourth phase, which understands that every person is continuously watching its behaviour and develops capabilities of self-control that is necessary for prevention of unhealthy and bad habits and development of mature forms of behaviour and a healthy way of living.
