CILJ:
te u skladu s tim i mogućnost participacije u socioterapijskim programima,
kao i nivo rehabilitacionog potencijala.
REZULTATI:
Sy. Alkoholne ovisnosti i trajne promjene ličnosti nakon katastrofe.
s I kategorijom invalidnosti, 30,9% liječenje nije završeno, a 6,9%
nepoznatog ishoda.
i time nedefinisani radni status, motivirali su ovisnike o alkoholu
da kroz liječenje ostvare i rentni zahtjev. Veliki broj pacijenata

Long lasting experience in treating alcohol addicts from the pre-war
period has indicated that the primary motifs for starting the treatment
had been absenteeism and problems at the working place.
AIM:
The goal is to point, through the data gained in only one-year
time period, to the complexity of the problem of this category of
patients that cannot be solved only with continuous co-operation
with the institutions of the occupational medicine.
MATERIAL
AND METHODS: The paper will present the data collected in the
past 2002, related to the 106 patients of the Daily Hospital Division
of the Alcoholism Department. They are related to age, length of
working time, psychophysical damages, and, in accordance to that,
the possibilities of participation in social-therapeutic programmes,
as well as the level of rehabilitation potential.
RESULTS:
The work ability in alcoholism patients is importance lower and
it is permanent lose. After rehabilitation treatment in our Institution,
patients were initiated to assessment of work abilities. They were
with followed diagnoses: 43 of out 106 (40,9%) Syndrome of alcohol
dependence, 45 of out 106 (42,4%) Syndrome of alcohol dependence
and PTSD and 15 of out 106 (16,7%) Syndrome of alcohol dependence
and permanent changes of person after catastrophic events. Out of
106 alcohol addicts: 62,2% with first category of invalidity, 30,9%
is not finished treatment and 6,9% non-known results were established.
CONCLUSION:
The post-war situation has been significantly changed, especially
in relation to the working status of the patient. The existing social
circumstances known as "waiting workers" and, due to that, their
unidentified status, have motivated the alcohol addicts to accomplish
the rent demand through their treatment. Large number of patients,
beside the problems related to alcohol abuse, experienced the symptoms
of war psychological trauma that are in co-morbidity relation.
