ZDRAVSTVENOG STANJA DEMINERSKOG TIMA IZLOŽENOG MUNICIJI OSIROMAŠENOG
URANIJUMA

Osiromašeni
uranijum upotrijebljen u vojne svrhe nužno otvara vrata budućoj
toksikologiji osiromašenog uranijuma. Predstavlja izvor kontraverzi
radiološke i kemijske toksičnosti osiromašenim uranijumom. Zahtijeva
buduća eksperimentalna i klinička istraživanja, vezana za njegove
efekte na biosferu i ljudske organizme.
CILJ:
Cilj ovog istraživanje bio je utvrditi da li je došlo do uticaja
interne kontaminacije osiromašenim uranijumom (zračenje municije
sa osiromašenim uranijumom) na zdravlje deminerskog tima i stranih
voditelja tima sa porodicama.
ISPITANICI I METODE: Ispitanike je činilo 158 osoba koji
su dolazili u kontakt sa municijom obogaćenom osiromašenim uranijumom,
što je i pretpostavka da su kontaminirani, a činili su ih: deminerski
tim "NPA" (Norveške međunarodne pomoći), i strani voditelji tima
sa porodicama. Pregledi su izvršeni u periodu 20.02. - 04. 05. 2001.
Metod zdravstvenog pregleda sproveden je po uputama NPA iz Osla
od 22. 02. 2001 godine i sadržavao je: opšti pregled sa pregledom
kože, RTG snimak pluća (Fluorogram), labaratorijsku analiza krvi
(SE, KKS, DKS, GamaGT, Kreatinin).
REZULTATI:
Na osnovu obavljenih pregleda, snimka pluća i labaratorijskih analiza
krvi može se reći da: nije utvrđeno postojanje signifikantnih znakova
(P>0,05) štetnih uticataja na zdravlje ispitanika izloženih osiromašenom
uranijumu. Promjene koje su kod nekih radnika nađene na plućima
mogu se objasniti ranijim upalama, bronhitisom, prehladama, pušenjem.
Promjene u labaratorijskim analizama krvi kod nekih radnika mogu
se objasniti prehladama i alergijama ili postojanjem ranijih hroničnih
obolenja. Nijedan slučaj karcinoma pluća, karcinoma krvi - leukemije,
nije nađen.
ZAKLJUČAK:
Rezultati ocjene zdravlja deminerskog tima pokazuju da osiromašeni
uranijum nije predstavljao radiološku opasnost.
ASSESSMENT OF HEALTH EFFECTS IN DEMINING TEAM EXPOSED TO WEAPON
WITH DEPLETED URANIUM

The
military use of depleted uranium in the tactical battlefield necessitates
further insight into the toxicology of depleted uranium. The present
controversy over the radiological and chemical toxicity of depleted
uranium warrants further experimental and clinical investigations
of its effects on the biosphere and human organisms.
AIM:
The aim of this study is to show is there any link between internal
contamination with depleted uranium (from ammunition with depleted
uranium) and health hazards in de-mining team persons and foreign
trainer with their family.
SUBJECTS
AND METHODS: We examined health state of 158 person who had
contact with weapon with depleted uranium presumed that this persons
were exposed to depleted uranium. The subjects of the study were
de-mining team "NPA" (Norwegian People's Aid) and foreign trainer
with their family. Examinations were performed in period from 20.02.
- 04.05.2001. The method of health examination were performed by
instructions from HQ NPA from Oslo (document from 22.02.2001) and
included: physical examination and skin examination, X-ray of lungs,
and blood test analysis (SE, KKS, DKS, gamma GT, creatinine)
RESULTS:
On the base of examination, X-ray of lungs and blood test analysis
we did, we found that: there are no significant signs that staff
has been exposed to depleted uranium radiation which could endangered
their health (P>0,05). The founded changes on lung of some examiner
could be explained by earlier pneumonia, bronchitis, influenza or
some disorders of them smoke cigarettes. Some abnormalities in blood
test analysis could be resulted that some of patients had influenza
or allergy or some chronic disease. No lung cancers and blood cancers
(leukaemia) have been found.
CONCLUSION:
Results of the study found that exposure to depleted uranium in
demining team not presented radiological healthy risk.
